As the Art Lead for Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire and later as an Art Director at MZ, I've brought a blend of professional rigor and creative excellence to each project. My approach has consistently polished and unified art production, ensuring timely completion without compromising quality. I thrive in team settings, leveraging a positive attitude and clear, constructive feedback to elevate both the work and the workplace. My dedication to art and team synergy has been a hallmark of my career, making me a passionate and reliable contributor to any creative endeavor.
Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire is an IP collaboration between Machine Zone and Square Enix. Thus most of the design elements were done and provided by Square Enix. Overall, my job was to bring the story, characters and the FFXV world to MZ's 4X title so the fans can experience their beloved brand with refreshing gameplay and endless contents.


Galaxy Explorer: New Home
Art Lead
As the Art Lead on this Sci-fi 4X mobile game project, I was brought on to the team to launch pre-production and visual development, oversee and quality control the entire art production including 2D concept, 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, animations, VFX, CG and UI/UX. With tremendous amount of creativity and dedication from over 40 artists internally and over 20 outsourcing studios, we soft launched the game within 6 months after its style had completely revisited. ARES (unreleased Unity project)
Art Director
This new 4X title project was art directed by me from 2021 to 2022. This was the first time we decided to add a more casual and stylized IP to our 4X portfolio. Even though eventuallyI had to leave the team for moving back to China, I still miss all the fun art and especially this fun world me and my team of talented artists created together in Unity.
The project started with only 2 artists on the art team. The game went through multiple art tests and eventually we landed on a vibrant, welcoming, stylized cartoony art style. I was the Art directing, concepting, animating, modeling and mocking up things in Unity together with an amazing Senior 3D artist, Bryan Johnston. Later on, the team received positive feedback and support from Applovin leaderships and we expanded the scope of art team to 20 artists.


SUPREME CITY RIVAL
Associate Art Director
I was brought on to this project as an Associate Art Director to further level up the art quality and creative storytelling of a city rival gangster project. I had a chance to work with so many talented concept artists, designers and managers. The game was almost out of the door. However the testing result didn't meet expectations. My task was to oversee existing production while looking into things that can be revisited. I will only lay out things I worked on as Carllo Arellano was the Creative Director who led the project at the first place.
Thanks to Carllo, I had this opportunity to learn from his amazing character design and leadership skills.

Besides my main job as almost a senior manager and art leadership, I have also participated many projects as Independent contributor. I always enjoy a cup of coffee and just paint over the weekends. I got to switch off business mentality and turn on crafting mode since getting rusty scares me truly. Catching up with new art trends, advanced technology and latest tools helps myself grow not only for my career but also as a role model for my friends and other fellow artists. I feel no shame working hard all the time as that's who I am as long as I also enjoy life.
